Thank you for attending our talk at 39c3!
Hello world!
If you just attended our talk at Chaos Communication Congress, thank you so much for coming!
If you are coming here from elsewhere or from the future you can check out our talk on the 39c3 VOD on https://media.ccc.de/ or our previous talk at KiCon here on youtube
Having the opportunity to stand on the main stage and speak to so many of you in person was an amazing experience and a first for us.
After a short break we will be available at our assembly (c3nav link)

What we open-sourced
So far we've open-sourced the following:
- er-schultzcontroller: Our G-Code controller hardware and firmware for Siemens S (Schultz) Feeders
- openpnp: An OpenPnP fork, for now only contains a eilbek-research folder with design documents and plans for our OpenPnP changes. We will contribute to this fork in the future.
- feeder-overhaul-guide: Sources to a guide on how to dissassemble, clean, tune up and reassemble Siemens S series 2x8mm feeders based on official servicing manuals and other information we could find. It contains a ton of detailed pictures of the feeder assemblies.
- embassy-experiments: Rust/embassy-rs environment to program Rust on the Raspberry Pi Pico/RP2040
All this work is quite early, but there is already value in there. If you are interested in feeders and their integration in OpenPnP or any other topic mentionned above, don't hesitate to reach out.
What's next for us? (we're available for hire!)
We want to continue working on our open-source production line, but funds are lacking, to remedy this we are exploring a few options:
- We have applied to the Prototype Fund, if our application is selected Augustin will be contributing full time to OpenPnP starting July 2026.
- Until July 2026 (and longer if the Prototype Application is accepted), Augustin is looking for Freelance/Consulting work, you can check the breadth of our expertise here, don't hesitate to inquire if you, or someone you know is looking for an engineer.
We expect to be working on this project about 50% of the time, but it might be less. So things will move in big and infrequent increments.
